Ok I don't really know much about the story of hl2
The advisor model i had already planned to use but not as an npc but as a prop. I din't realise the model is from a set piece of the story line. I din't know you couldn't you use it? can you ?

Ok, more pics (its becoming a regular habit). No real huge coding but I got myself an advisor. he dosen't interact much, floats about abit. but if you get in its way it will slice and dice you!



I may use it as a merchant come 1.3

Well you guys have probably guessed I like showing off screenshots,
It gives you lot something to look at when your bored,

Today's aren't anything that special, but for me they are, my first 3d_skybox! Some of the asteriods that seem too close are, and will be deleted they are still in the 2d part of the skybox. But finally thing's are starting to look how I want.

I was kind of trying to avoid having to make one for this map, becuase some of the tutorials aren't that helpful on skyboxes, and plus really I wasn't sure if all the same rules apply for what I was trying to achieve.
I've seen some very nice space sky boxes with asteriods, I thnk Hickadam's oc_cannon has one of the best I've seen (Yes I got some inspiration from him, but also from the amazing maps in Eternal Silence and of course Zteers amazing oc_danmaku map).
But my map will not be up to either standards, I'm just trying to do the best I can. As a result I've also now learn't how to rescale models, finally!

Oh, nothing special, I just learnt how to decompile models, edit their properties and recompile. Valve don't give you many models you can use in a 3D_skybox, so all my rocks had to be converted to 0.0625
I'm learning slowly :D
Sometimes I know what I want, I take one look at the relevant tutorial, and I just dismiss the idea because it looks all too complicated, then when I get the courage I attempt it anyway and find out it was all relatively easy. :D

This looks like an awesome map, it kinda reminds me of super smash bros :P

maybe power-ups should randomly appear on the playing feild, like the cloak module, so you can turn yourself invisable and attack from behind.

That's a good Idea Sonic, I was toying with a couple of game play modes, for instances, The survior mode I could have with or without medikits, or as you say have the odd random item spawn, which makes that player important to his team i.e medic.

Well, not much to report, apart from just trying to populate the map a bit with some useless stuff for decoration, so the map dosen't look completely empty! :D

I have around 15 diffrent npc's included now it's just in what order, and how many I want you to fight in the tornamment mode. I've got a load of decals to make for all my buttons, I'm at that 90% stage now I think.

Well I haven't had much time for any of my work in progress maps recently. This map has had it's ups and downs but I've decided to press on despite it's faults I put alot of work in to it so I gonna finish it.

The Hydra has been removed for now as it was sort of getting in the way of other things. I've finished off the ending sequence, another Gman & Alyx encounter. And I made a quick video of my bot's ( few npc's I got floating about in the spectator area :lol: )
