get a question how to make the mountable barricade system?

oc_Maestro Fénix_HeadCrabD_Nz(just for boring)
oc_der_riese(don't even think about it.)
oc_nacht_der_untoten (work again!)

The first tests shows that work too. Now, i´m trying to make it destructible.

EDIT: No idea why i cant. The barricade model use a prop_dynamic_override. The health value should work, but not. I only can break it if i check "break on touch" and "break on pressure".

And due it not have a break on trigger, the zombies cant break it too, unless i create a scripted sequence.

Any ideas?

Okay, so I assume that the barricade system is the boarded up windows and etc?

or is it something like that of what Fenix posted? a barricade you can set up (takes time to set up?) but can destroy at the same time?

I have one. Try using that entity which count things in a radious. If 4 zombies are in the barricade, display the "breakthrough" animation and break the barricade.

Fenix, you can probably make a nodraw brush that surrounds the model that takes the dmg, when it breaks it gets rid of the model/break it/watever

I might try to make my own barricade system really quick in hammer if I have time.

OK, i tested it and works, but the zombie dont attack it (the only way will be using a scripted secuence).

Zombie and barricade models. I´m converting all the models to make it useable for the npc_zombie (is a quick step, only changing animations and fixing the hands). I´ll upload a file with all the models ready to use it.

So, the addons system not override the sounds? because the default zombie sounds doesnt fit with these zombies.

Just create a custom soundscript for that map that overrides the default zombie sound entries.

Try setting an ai_relationship to hate the barricade?

I remember an old test map I made where I parented an npc_bullseye infront of a box model and set the relationships to hate that bullseye, when the zombies kill it, it makes the box break as well.
IDK what else I should put here but that's all I can think of atm lol

Brutal. The B-17 looks good (i was scared about their aspect with the fire).

In the first image, if you would put a zombie in the background, it would be perfect (their eyes glow in the dark, it would be like in COD:WAW/BO zombiemode).
