Hello, I am really new to half-life 2 mapping. I have mapped in HL1 for over two years and have decided to make the switch. I'm just saying that this is my first map in half-life 2.
Now this map is called Oc_Nerv, its based off of a anime called Neon Genesis Evangelion. Where it takes place is deep underground, in a small faculty called Nerv. For those who have watched the show, this is the End of Evangelion. I also have original sounds and many models for this map.
The story: You are a nerv employee and you must make it to Terminal Dogma before Third Impact Occurs. Your first mission is to defend Central Dogma ( The command Station ) from an invasion of the JSDF Army. If they invade your armory, your mission is a failure. If your commander dies, your mission is a failure. Then you flood to an elevator and move up torwards the office complex. You must obtain the key card that will let you down to Terminal Dogma. Unfortunately, Nerv is still being invaded by the JSDF, and other creatures.
I do not want to give away the ending. I can say that the storyline is actually a lot more complex than this. You will find yourself ducking from cover, and wishing you had more ammo often. I will not make the level impossibly hard, but hard enough.

Models: 50% Obtained models, but I haven't converted them to HL2.
Sounds: 80% Obtained and converted most sounds.
Map Geometry overall: 45%
Central Dogma: 100%
Hallway and Elevator along Central Dogma: 100%
Level 2: 35% Geometric outline...done! Working on Detail and Rooms.
Level 5: CANCELED
Terminal Dogma: 3% Plans thought of.
SEELE room: 100%
Storyline: 100%
Overall Progress: 55% Done.

Heres a small update I did in hammer:
Nerv Level 2 60% - Adding rooms, sounds, and NPCS.
Nerv Level 3 100%
Centeral Dogma 100%
Reskins - 45% - Will be included in BSP.
I really don't want to ruin any of the surprises from this map, but I can tell you that this is a very tough map. Level 2 is planned to be pitch black, and you must solve a puzzle in it while being attacked by the JSDF troops, (The combine).
I will compile and take pictures tomarrow, I must sleep now.
