Well yeah, that's because they are floating before they enter the gun, I moved the frames for the mag back 1 so it goes in a lot quicker.
Gary wrote:Ha, that is awesome. Though, the reloading is unrealistic(so is dual wielding), the animation it's self is pretty realistic(the movement of the hands and resistance of the charging handle).

Great job man.

Ha yeah, the idea came from Broke's Glock reload :P

After watching it so many times I just HAD to imitate it, these reloads are so fun to do, seriously, realism constrains the animator and their really is no need for it.

You did a great job on imitating that animation, the only part I find odd is how the clips get uh... "caught(?)" by the guns.

Also, I'm a fan realism, but OC as many know is not supposed to be extremely realistic. So I'm sure no one(I certainly don't) minds the insane reloads. It reminds me of the Halo1 pistol melee animation.

Keep up the good work man.

Here's an idea, magazines fly in air twirling as they come down and the player spins the dual uzis like ol' texas style and the mags come landing down into the stock as they spin and thats the end of the reload lol jk

No you throw the new mags away from you and they come back like a boomerang right into the gun

edit: someone needs to make the most ridiculous and exaggerated reload ever

Tbh, I prefer the uzi version.

I think youtube might be draping frames? iirc Youtube only runs at 24/25 fps, whereas most game animations are at 60? Just a guess as to the floating clips problem.

As for crazy reloads. One idea I've had for a while is throwing the mag into the air, then catching it in the weapon. To clarify, the weapon stays still, but the mag is thrown above the weapon, then the weapon is turned upside down while still in place, and the clip lands in the weapon. Almost like a juggling motion. Would work best for a rifle and is very laid back rather then showy. Another is less of a crazy reload, more of a crazy weapon, where the gun eats the mag as it fires, and to reload you clip another mag on the bottom of the exsisting one. Feel free to use those.

And while it would break gameplay, I would like to see a game do something like this.

I´m continue confused. Why the fingers makes these strange movements in the single uzi to reload?

First(single reload) was done by Key and she is new to animation. The second(dual reload) was done by Link which is experienced in animation. I'm sure the fingers will be fixed in the final build.

The fingers were all my fault, the HL2 arm rig has over-sized bones and makes it really hard to rotate, as Gary said, these will be fixed in the final release.

Still a big WIP, the motion needs more work. However it's already better than the original IMO.

Better, but the left hand continues doing that. It´s suppused to be a reload helper (strip) or something there?

I'm afraid I have no idea what you mean. Could you explain a bit more thoroughly? Sorry, and thanks.
