Merchants outputs.

Do they work?

The OnPlayerUse and OnWeaponPickUp. Me thinks they do not.

Regarding inputs to a logic_merchant_relay? I know OnPlayerUse works on prop_physics since I've used it in my maps.

OnWeaponPickup seems to be when the player has just bought a weapon

I wouldn't use OnPlayerUse since that just fires when a player +uses the merchant. But if that's what you wanted then use it.

this is old, i know, but i just searched something in the forum and found this...

the npc_merchant is derived from the npc_citizen i think, so i think these outputs are similar to it. but it can be that they are modified.
