Modeling help

Ok, I posted this at facepunch but no one could reply, god forbid I post something related to Half-life, now if I posted a topic on me taking a dump there would like 300+ reply's...
Anyway, this is what I posted, and still need help on:
I have been wondering how you inject/import your own custom models, The model format half-life2 uses is unknown to me, and it isn't just a plan model ether, it has visual mesh, collision mesh, physics model, markers, and a few other things.

Is there a converter for this or what?

I would like to have my custom models in game, I'm not that new to modeling because I mod Halo2, but Halo2 Was never meant to be modded, so it can't handle the things I want to do, unlike GMOD.

How do I Inject/Import Custom Models, and the stuff that goes with it?

I do NOT have 3ds Max, or Maya, I use Misfit... yea I know, not the best modeling app out there the its the simplest and its free, but if I need to I can get a better one.

Also, I don't have GMOD yet, I want to know this for when I get it, and that is very soon.

Well, look out for a smd exporter for your beloved modeling app or export your mesh as .obj into another program like XSI, 3Ds Max, etc.
With your smd you can then compile your model to mdl.

Side note:

Why do you still have phpbb2? And HTML enabled... I could of hacked you guys once a Admin clicked on this topic...
If i knew about a way to port our current forum over to phpbb3 without losing anything, i would have done it already, and html is enabled for posting vids.

Also, you like halo? then you should check out what im currently working at :wink:

Thanks Deathy!, its about time someone helps, facepunch is useless.

And that looks really cool W0rf0x, if you ever need a model from halo2/1 I can give you them in obj format, I'm always happy to help.
