This is great news. I think I'll play some OC right now to get me even more excited about it. I love the trailer btw. Its my hope that you guys come to me when you need a trailer for 1.4. It's the least I can do to help out and after all, video production is my future profession. Anyway, I'm looking...

Nope never seen that before? Who's is that? I like the lighting and scale of that one and the ceiling design, only thing I think I have that is an improvement is the floor texture I used  Oh well, I may ditch the grunt feeling, and just make it more hl2 rebel. >> http://obsidianconflict.net/fo...

http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/6231/bootcampoc0001.jpg Just messing around with ideas, tbh I really just felt the need to build something in hammer, but there are some ideas behind it all. And yes there are a couple of models from provenance in there, before anyone asks. I bet that was inspired...

I was on a HL2 mod binge a few years ago. Played Synergy for a few minutes, got bored and uninstalled it. Installed Obsidian Conflct and played oc_bunker. I really enjoyed playing a story driven game with others and played it for a while. Then I realized I could make maps for the mod and taught myse...

All 16 are interdependent? Are you sure it is necessary? Having a point_template with 16 named entities will surely bog down resources.

Describe what you're trying to do and maybe we can find a better solution.

Neico talked about an online database save system but I doubt he'll get to it for a long time.

It also would allow a bunch of other stuff such as player stats and the ability for mappers to specify mandatory player models on a per map basis without permanently changing them.

Why?
Picture A is best but is a little bit empty.

videocopilot.net is an excellent website for After Effects tutorials. Just don't be a faggot like half the kids on the internet that do his tutorials and then post them on youtube like they're creative for following a tutorial.

hmm OnTipped should work, weird.. Well you could parent a npc_bullseye to each turret and give them a filter_damage_type to only allow BLAST damage. Then just add the OnDamaged output to each. This is the way I would recommend you do it ^^^ That is the way Valve does the ground turrets in HL2 and i...

36 Stairs Trailer

Stumbling randomly around vimeo.com I found this video. I recognized the authors name as a guy I used to talk to back a few years ago about CG work I was doing (was only 16 at the time). Apparently he has been doing very good for himself, working for ILM and winning a Cannes Film festival award. Che...

I will be building it myself. I did a lot of research and feel comfortable with it. Also thanks for the help so far. I appreciate it. I got my college tuition return for $1428 today, which gives me enough cash to buy the parts, probably sometime Friday. As for overclocking, I have done it in the pas...

If I get it all on newegg the price comes to $3000(2800 after change to i7 920)...I'm only saving 400/500. I compared prices with tigerdirect and its pretty much the same deal. Does anybody know where I can get a better price than this? The SLI videocards are $500 by themselves... and $600 for the C...
