Re: What are you listening to?
Oh, Scatman John brings back memories. :v sometimes the classics can also be as good as modern ones. Actually, I feel it's the reverse - the modern ones have to live up to the standards set by the classics. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a lot of that happening so far, not even lately. That's not to ...

Re: Issue with Startup
Something tells me you installed just the hotfix and not the actual mod. Since the hotfix contains a gameinfo.txt , Steam would have an entry for it in the games library. The hotfix is not intended as a replacement for the full download, so please download the 1.35 installer first (672MB), and then ...

New shaders would be needed to support that parameter.

Re: homebrew OC-Server not shown in the Server Browser
The web-based server browser uses a different method - you'll need to install a plugin to get it to appear on the list. As for why servers only show on the in-game server browser, your guess is as good as mine. Try getting someone you know who plays the mod to see if they can find your server with t...

Re: Lan servers are restricted to local clients (class C)
Changes to sv_lan require a map change to take effect. You have Valve to thank for that requirement.

Re: Lan servers are restricted to local clients (class C)
You'll have to modify steam.inf as per this guide. Unfortunately, Valve broke something on their backend (yet again) so the server lists are empty for just about every Source-based mod out there.

Valve broke something on their backend again, but we have an alternate server browser available here.

Re: There's too much difference between DDR3 and GDDR5 VRAM?
Iirc GDDR3 delivers data twice per clock , GDDR5 does that four times per clock , which means that clock for clock, GDDR5 is twice as fast. But that's just half of the story. Due to GDDR5's higher transfer rate, manufacturers tend to pair them with smaller interfaces (since wider interfaces are more...

The memories this brings back to me.
I really like how this song slowly builds up in suspense. In-game, it's perfect.
