Half Life 2: Episode 3 - Released May 2009?

Apparently according to Doug Lombardi the wait for Ep3 is going to be longer than the wait for Ep1 and Ep2 so, Kontaku calculated at least a 19 month wait which ends in May next year.

To be honest I don't really care because:
1) It will probably be the best game of that year
2) It means they are putting more effort in the game and not shoving it out the window

Try September, October or November next year, Valve like their pre christmas release periods ;0)

Once they release media other than concept art, expect it to come out a year later. As far as I know they haven't released any official ingame footage.

I got word that Ep3 won't be released until 2010. It was from ScrewAttack.com, but I forgot what video.

Also Gabe says in an e-mail that they'll be updating all the characters completely, the Rebels and Combine won't have that three-finger thing anymore.

Doug Lombardi also mentioned in one interview that Valve won't develop a new engine in the near future. They want to concentrate on the game/gameplay itself and not the graphics engine for future games.. But I am sure that they will update the source engine constantly with every new source game (like they did in the past until now).
