Obsidian Release!

We are now ready to release Beta 1 of the mod to the public. Current links can be found in the Downloads section. Over the next couple of days we will make sure to get more links up to you all.
So check it out, and talk about the experience in the forums. Since we are in Public Beta Testing we need to know all the problems you encounter so we can fix them in patches.

Wait why do we need steamworks in order to live? If anything OC will have more respects for being a long living and great mod that hasn't been added to Steam.

qft, we didnt need it before and wont need it now, especially not when it will force us to remove any of our current content because of copyright reasons, just look at syn.
Also, compared to syn having steamworks and we not, we are more alive then them even though they have slightly more players and servers.

The only thing I would of wanted from steam works would of been the possibility of achievments and unlockables + stats.

And any content restrictions they can shove where the sun dosent shine. Basically the mod can and has been living just fine without it.
