The Alient Grunt looks retarded. Looks like he just came out of a pool full of mud, with no clothes on. The Controller looks good though.

Wow, I'm so jealous of some of the stuff they have in that mod. I definitely saw an NPC Metrocop firing the revolver one-handed.

I haven't played Human Error. So I know nothing about how these npc's look and act in game. But looking at them, they seem quite different from the HL:S npc's.

What I would suggest (that's if your even considering GTI's suggestion).
would be that you include them as extra npc's rather than replacements. So they can be a sub-species of the current ones.

Though I prefer the AlienGrunts we have I still feel you could use the 'bog monster' looking human error one as say an Agrunt with no armour and have the exsisting one beefed up a little. or change something about one of their attacks, i.e rate of hornet fire or tweak something related to the attack such as like hornet life time.

The Alien Controller looks like in human error it can walk it seems to have legs? If as W0rf0x says its AI is different from that of the HLS. Then this is a perfect excuse to add as a new npc rather than as a replacement.

Agreed the old AC could do with some texturing and poly love. But maybe something can be done to it with the materials from HError.

So ya I propose you cut nothing and add them as extras!

Anyhow nice find GTI, I thought this thread was like totally unrelated to general disscussion when I looked at topic title.

 I wasn't sure as I was typing that sentence. The HError one in that case, seems to have much bigger legs.

I also think that Human Error's "freed" AGrunts should be a separate NPC from the current one (NPC_ABrute?). Yes the AGrunt is ugly as hell but you know someone could reskin the hornet gun look like... a hornet gun and not a lizards shitty ass.

The model_src files are included as well, maybe the new team members could make them look more like half-life's original  . The models Vesuvian made sure shows that he is more that skilled enough to add some kind of 'enslavement' control armor ( Like HL1 :P ) . and Linkmister has done awesome work with the Uzi, I wonder what he can do with monsters? (and the other things he has done looks epic as well...if he ever is satisfied with his work we may find out how epic first hand! )

The controller is fine as is so YAY!

The Grunt just needs that armor and it would look great.Gtaiiilc's idea is good, maybe the "ABrute" could have an amputated hornet gun and instead charge enemies,or better yet, have some biological sword. It would change up OC's battles quite a bit if it had some unique AI,like trying to jump over its enemies and stabbing them in the back or something. The hornet gun does look horrible for their model, though.Maybe you could use the hornet gun they have on the model already in OC and merge it with their one,if that's possible?

Also,the controller is absolutely perfect.

This may come late, but HE released their controllable manhack code too
http://hlssmod.net/index.php?page=4&tutorial=manhack

Any chance we can see that and the controllers in OC?

Yes, if you play HL:S campaign or someone use the monster_controller entity and use a custom model (<-confirm?, i going to try some entities from HL:S to see if works or not).

I saw it as a worthy contribution. Now... Any chance that it can be added in the next release?

If it isn't too difficult to add, it would be a good addition to the mod.

If they gave away more from their mod, it would be interesting to see an Human Error fan campaign for OC, if not the actual campaign, but I think they're already working on their own co-op.
I usually run from rockets.
Pretty straightforward.
