Realistic HL experience

Hey guys i played OC i think about a year ago and now i'm back to kick some ass.
Me being a fan of realistic shooters, modern weapons and ironsights i loved OC for being able to move CS weapons in to the game and use ironsights.
so i have a few questions and i would love it if you guys could answer a few of them

1) i'm intrested mainly in the Main singleplayer campaign and last time we played it was really easy to complete and wasn't enough stuff to shoot at :P so are there any config files or difficulty level that can make things harder ?

2) when i added CS weapons into our inventory it never saved it when we moved to a diffrent level, is that fixed ? and also ammo pickups were promised to be addded.

3) Half life source works under this mod ?

4) Does anyone knows when will the new OC version will come out ? roughly ?

1. Either set skill to 3 or edit the values in "cfg/skill.cfg" however you like.

2. They should transfer fine, and no idea what you mean by promised ammo pickups.

3. Yes, somewhat, there are barely any mapadds though and we probably won't ever continue on them, so you best play privately with a friend and have sv_cheats on in case you need to noclip etc.

4. Sometime this year i guess.

Thanks guys i appreciate the help :) though another question the "skill" option just gives enemy more HP or actually increases their numbers ?
And the CS weapons have no pickup options as far as i remember you can add them only as give custom_weapons. so you can't actually pickup any ammo along the way so hows the ammo handled ? is it refills every transition of levels ? or is there any config file that adds mapadds of counter strike weapons in the real campaign so i can pickup ammo along the way ?

the skill decides how many shots it takes to kill an enemy in other words the effectiveness of your guns.

So theres no way to just use a mapadd or config file that doubles the npc's ? thats too bad :(
What about the CS's weapon ammo ?

What about the CS's weapon ammo ?

You can double the amount npcs, it's just that it requires some work placing them at coordinates and tying them into the map's gameplay

CS weapon ammo you can add as well, it just requires some work (forgot the oc wiki link for custom ammo)

they use default hl2 ammo in 1.35.

What ammo properties does each weapon use ? i guess all the assault rifles and SMG's use the HL SMG ammo ?
Or rifles use the AR2's ammo ?
I guess my question is what the ammo class is for each weapon class ?

SMG uses SMG1, AR2 uses rifle I think.

Open the weapon script files in obsidian/scripts.

All the awnsers to your questions, are all in the mod directory in various mapadd files or weapon script files. Spend more time looking at exsisting work, if your interested in modifying games.
