-Online components (pretty limited stuff)
-A total of 493 or so pokemon in the game
-Return of night and day system
-3d-ish buildings and structures
-And other stuff I don't feel like listing ATM

Pretty ritzy.
I myself am a big fan of pokemon, and to date, on ruby, i have collect all but about 40 pokemon.

Nothing against pokemon, but the games are lame. Their always the same, i got burnt out on them after ruby and sapphire...

Agreed, but the last pokes I played were red and blue.

Ruby saphire were widly not played because there wasn't enough change between them or enough to do in the world beyond fighting. I think diamond/pearl learned from that, including many things like day night back in, the safari game that now has a kool new twist to it, a bunch of contest, the underground wifi... ect.
