[Funmap] oc_donkeygarg (NEW Alpha Release)

Hi. I just got bored and started mapping with the Idea to remake the well known Arcade Classic "Donkey Kong"
The players have to get up Metal Beams to rescue Alyx from the Evil Donkey Garg who kidnapped her, and he throws Barrels against everyone who want to rescue her.
The barrels drop very randomly so you always need a fast reaction.

I put this in WIP Mapping because the map isnt finished yet.

there is a map very much like this that you may want to look at. There is a server called :

Orions Deathmatch Server

and a map called:

mp_donkeykong

its very cool

Looks like you could end up with a mess with all those barrels...

Barrels need to be parented to func_train and explode when touching players.

They dont need to, you just have 1 HP so you die anyway if you got hit by them.

The map looks really easy if the barrels are controled by hl2 physics, you can just avoid the ladder spots since you know that the barrels will fall right there.

The original game was challenging because you wouldn't know if the barrel would get down the ladder or just continue it's normal path.

I could build in a little randomizer if they drop down or not.
The barrels are pushed by trigger_push entitys to have enough speed to roll down without getting stucked. If I add some push´s on the Ladder spots who randomly start pushing down this would be harder. Thanks Fire_cube. =D

Make them barrels oil drums and add a fire at the end of the track to eliminate the barrels! That's the way it was back in my days if I don't remember wrong!

Needs more to see. Put it like in an arcade machine with a black backround,fix up the texturing, and try to get some lighting and cubemaps.

Make it so that you can look out from the arcade machine and see the room it's standing in. :)

make a arcade map and the main room the arcade room a sky box too so you can see players going to arcade games lol
