LDR
Still playing, I was avoiding that metal texture, but it and all its variants I still thing is one of the better ones.
I really think LDR combined with the bloom scale thing is the way to go then, just gotta find a nice balance. Maybe I'll do this with all maps if it works out ok, it would make life easier all round.

Looks neat!
The futuristic look is different - the metal texture doesn't look that great (as skidz said), including the one around the glass. Have you tried aligning it 90 degrees from what it currently is? Also, I don't know how many people are aware, but there's a neat thing you can do with the texture application tool:
1. Select a face
2. Hold alt
3. Right click on the next face beside the selected face
This will automatically align the face so that the texture merges cleanly between the two faces. (For example, it will cause the side texture to match up with the top texture perfectly). You can use this for adjacent or in-line faces too. For example, on the circular section of metal, if you select the interior/outer face of the circle brush:
O <- Here
...then alt+right-click on the top of the circle, it will match the texture perfectly, preventing the circle looking like it's just been carved out of a square brush and making it look more like it's been constructed in a circle. This will also match up angles!
Anyways, play around with it - it's very very useful, and speeds up texturing and texture alignment immensely - making your map look more professional.
(Damn, maybe I should write a tutorial on this - the number of mis-aligned textures I've seen in various OC maps...)

Space is still cool riight? I can't stop my self it's a nice skybox, couldn't resist.
Still working away polishing the map, but still trying to find a look I'm happy with and hopefully will be pleasing to other eye's too
Lighting & texturing mainly!
Also I've added a re-decorated version of Zteer's mapselect_v2 to add an extra 60 doors, total now = 180! ( yes I'am gonna give him a lil tribute, have spoken to him, map was open source anyhow).
So I know it's only a mapselect but I wanna try and make it half presentable.
Yeah I know it's a little too dark^

Air lock hmm,....
Well it's amazing how after feedback about texturing, I start making radical changes to the map (I have a habit of this).
Still a few tweaks and stuff, lighting texturing. but progress...
Also I'm dropping the 's' from oc_archives to oc_archive,
So without anyfurther ado, Welcome on board the oc_archive

Ooo... pics work now!
Very nice. Looking good! I really like the ion-drive-looking thingies on the outside.
My only criticism would be that the lights (the ceiling ones from c17) look a little out of place.
Great work!

Still, I think it'd be awesome to open the airlock door and have everyone sucked out into space...
