Which reminds me, what happened to the pvp onslaught map!

Oh god warehouse, i haven't touched that for a year, just lost interest working on it, but its not scrapped, just on hold, its way too far in progress.

And that onslaught map merely started as a test map to experiment with halo content on, i desperately tried to give it a real purpose so i can release it, because i spent quite some time on the map itself and i like the looks of it, but none of the things i did with it are really enjoyable yet, and i don't just want to shit out a half-assed map in an desperate attempt to just release it.

They both will see the light of the day someday I'm sure, i just don't release maps before I'm sure they are fun to play.

Same reason I haven't released oc_cadaverous. I tried to stay close to the oc_starship_troopers formula that made that map fun, but then when we finally playtested it it was just "meh". Though I think it has a lot to do with the difference between slow-moving zombies compared to swarming antlions that affected it the most; the same formula can't really be used.

True, the dod mapadds I made just with normal zombies was a bit meh.

Whilst on the subject of cadaverous, I havent played the map, but I would say have you considered using all the zombies (normal + fast and poison) + headcrabs (u know I love your classic poison + fast crab killer combo). also sk_ configs to make slashes give more damage etc. That coupled with lives would be awesome. I just feel the mod still dosn't have a good lives map involving zombies (which really good zombie survival is all about).

I just hate to see work end up on the scrap heap, I'm not saying make every map official, but I do think that even the lesser maps get play time just because regular players love variation.

Well maybe I just been around the mod too long and played too much.

On another note, I was thinking of pm'ing you about your flare boxes.
I'm currently making a antlion hive 'escape' map and I'm trying to make the map as confusing as possible, so one of the options I was considering was a very dark map lighting wise, then I thought about flares. Maybe if I get the map actually close to completion (something Ive been incapable of recently) I'll let you play the map see if I can pursuade you for permission. ;)

But yeah I do understand both of you and your points, you know what Im like I just love more content!

Don't zombies have an option to use a running animation as flag or something in hammer? I always wondered about having 28 days later zombies lol

Haven't touched this map since. I'd say its on hold but there's no point in adding it to the wiki.
