oc_monster_onslaught

Yesterday i came up with idea of creating a map: Something between harvest (roleplaying) and walking dead (zombie survival).

For now its just an idea but im gonna do some mapwork today or tommorow.

I'd like this map to be "open", made by more than just me so... If you have some nice piece of brushwork that could fit in the map go ahead and post it here.

PS: Map is intended to have city theme. Keep that in mind

Entire idea changed due to Gary making similar map It will be a monster survival map.

Sorta like my zombie survival map was at one time, though I turned harvesting plants into hunting animals.

My first version was going to be in a city, but I am really not to good at making cities, having to logically create buildings and there interiors. After the first few it's not to easy to come up with ones that fit next to the other ones in both looks and purpose.

Good luck, if you need any help let me know. None of my zombie survival map could fit in yours as I moved it to the coast, so I don't have any brushwork for you.

Me and Key have already planned a map pretty much like this long ago, all the concept is written down but we haven't had the time yet to start on it, which is why there's no WIP thread about it yet.
(Something i dislike about this thread, showing no content, only very rough concept in text form.)

Looking good, also I like the idea of making one map like that. We can talk on Steam when I get home.

By the way, replace those omni lights with wide angle spot lights. I find it often gives a better effect.

The barricated shop reminds me old days when i played CSS zombiemod (Mainly zm_atix_helicopter).

Yeah... We talked with Gary and it seems we wont combine our work... Shame... Im thinking about changing map character to monster survival or something like that.

GOD DAMMIT! Brushwork is done for now but i keep getting "Cant find file specified" compile error so i cant check the 3d skybox
