Monster HUD?

Like in SvenCoop, and obsidian (Obviously). There's the "monster hud". AKAK: When looking at monsters, you see there information.
Well, i was trying to implement this, but my way is so hackish (Sending tracelines in the player prethink). I was wondering if there was a better way?

Obsidian just adds on to the info hud element valve already made for player information.

Would you happen to know were in the SDK it's located?

hl2mp_hud_target_id.cpp I think.
