I'll paste my review from Facepunch for those of us who are banned.
The weapons!
The bullet weapons shoot like in the previous Left4Dead, though the addition of gore... makes no difference whatsoever. The Melee weapons don't do much, the Frying pan is useless, however the Machete is quite effective at running through large hordes of zombies spamming left mouse button, this is on normal and I only lost a bit of health, CMON VALVE! YOUR AI THING SHOULD AT LEAST TRY! The green sludge vial is neat, but only works with large hordes, the pipe bombs and Molotov's are still here, and so are pills and med kits. But a new addition is the Adrenaline needle... which just means you can't hear as well and makes it harder to control.
The game play, is exactly the same as Left4Dead but in a different area and it's daylight. The new zombies are hardly a challange, the Jockey humps you untill the dumb AI team mates decided to shoot it off. The Riot cop Zombies are not a challange either, just push away and shoot. Simple As. The toxic waste zombies are easy, just shoot, then avoid the slime. The Witch now walks around which is quite good for playing "Bear Bating" at.
The music has a nice deep south feel to it, Rythm and Blues, which is quite acceptable, however, some of the music recycled from the first game doesn't fit Daylight. The Voice Acting for Nick is acceptable, though the others just feel plain and boring. Almost like Call of Duty: WaW. The melee weapons make nice sounds though.
To sumerise, from what I have seen, the game is just a re-skin of the original Left4Dead with some new features. It's nothing new, but if you're a L4D fanatic, you'll like it more than I did.
5/10
Me playing through the first level, purposely trying to get hurt.
