In order to keep improving the server setup tutorial, I decided to make again a new server, so I can check if the last issues with Steampipe can be avoided by only following the tutorial or not (remember, I want the tutorial to be easier to understand, explaining EVERYTHING).

Everything looked fine (I don't remember right now if I should have more stuff inside the orangebox folder or not), until the step 5: setting the campaigns.

Although I continue having some GCFs, I lost others (all of HL:S and LC, and by looking at the lists, some GCFs of EP1), so what should I do right now (my steps will be followed by others, because it will appear at the wiki)?

Should I follow the manual method but extracting the VPKs instead?


Also, I heard that from X version, Metamod not longer works with OC since is not updated. Is true? On this case, what version should work with the mod?

You should use my batch script I provided in the other thread, it should do the basic server setup if you chose server and tell it the path to steamcmd
GCF's shouldn't ever be used! they are leftovers from the convert process and can be safely deleted once it's confirmed that the related game is no longer in a steampipe beta and has merged all the content into steamapps/common

about sourcemod, I haven't been keeping track of it, so I can't tell you the status of it :/

The DEVs are looking into the actual problems of creating a server right now with SteamPipe, so, have patience.
