I got some CODMW2 player models for GMOD and because they looked so awesome I converted my favorite one for OC.

The only part that gave me problems was the texture directories.

Well, I tried to make a citizen version of the model, but with mixed/bad results.

I can look at it in the Model Viewer, citizen animations work great and the weapons attach properly.

But in game, as a prop_dynamic it looks great, but as a npc_citizen, it causes the game to crash during load with a 'read' error.

Shifty said it might be the facial deformations, but I have seen models used as a citizen in GMOD that don't have face animations and they work fine.

Ingame as a prop_dynamic.

Oh and it is the citizen, as they work fine as a combine soldier.

Awesome model yea would be cool to get more MW2 models also Ghost :D because hes just that awesome hehe

it looks nice and the model would fit into a war like map that has allied soldiers so good idea if you ask me.
anime watcher and manga reader and doesnt care what others think of it.

Garry, as for the citizen I know why its crashing.

When you select the citizen in hammer make sure in the object propeties you select the citizen type, which for custom models = Unique (the other two options are citizen & rebel).

Also in the flags tab, make sure random head and random male & female are not checked/selected.

That should sort your troubles.

Thanks everyone for your positive comments, if I release a player pack I will also release a citizen/combine replacement for mappers(it wouldn't replace rebels unless you add it in hammer.).

And I did set it to "Unique" but didn't disable random heads, I'll go ahead and try that.
