Codes for your maps

Post by Vasili »

Just codes for you versions of maps that I consider the best

oc_#Name#_v1a
oc_#Name#_v1b
oc_#Name#_v1c
oc_#Name#_v1d
oc_#Name#_v1e
oc_#Name#_v2a

etc etc etc

oc can be replaced with TG for Team Game, which is good for oc_Seamus
V Can be replaced with b for beta, with most maps start on.

Thats not nice, It's a good idea vasili, I think Worfox should be the map renamer/organiser, then he'll distribute them to everyone who should have emptied their map folders!

Thats how i doo it:

For the beta versions:

oc_mapname_beta1
oc_mapname_beta2
etc.

For the final just:

oc_mapname

And if i release a new version after the final version, for what ever reason, i name them:

oc_mapname_v2
oc_mapname_v3
etc.

And map renaming isnt a good idea, because then you break the cubemaps, if you want to rename your map, you have to recompile it with the new name.
