Getting NPC's to Patrol.

I want to have some Combine Soldiers patroling about a Hangar Base in a map I'm working on.

How the f*ck do I do it?

And does the Patroling NPC go down/up stairs?

They'll go anywhere a player could go without jumping, given you put a node there. Put nodes everywhere. I'd download the vmf on that page for a good example.
