Also I was planning to host this on a couple of others, but it seems the hosting sites that don't delete after 3 months, normally have something like a 100 mb cap, so tomorrow I'll split the file into two and upload a part a and part b version. so I can get the file out to as many sites as possible.

Some of these maps are still beta versions, so they may not fully represent the intended final versions.
Also note that the three nomaz maps have been incorrectly modified and the cubemaps are not built so there for

(I'm hoping to have this fixed in time for the next mappack, with the use of mapadd scripts and the original files,
no renaming, and before you ask it wasn't me and I do not know who, but the maps are still damn good to play IMO)

ATTN: Map makers past and present, Map Packs and Hosting!

I am trying to put together a number of map packs so that Obsidain Conflict players new and old have a place where they can easily download the magnificent quality, quantity and variety of third party maps that have been released and are running on a number of servers.

I am proposing to use filefront (www.filefront.com) and maybe 2 other respected hosting sites to:

1. Host your individual files for your maps if required.
2. Release a comprehensive and all inclusive giant map pack.
3. Release the same map pack in three parts to lower the size of the file for easier downloading.
4. Host any requested map packs such as maps that are designed to be in chapters.
5. On a monthly or two monthly basis depending on the amount of content I recieve, update any exsisting map packs with any new files changes and additions and also create new map packs containing only the new content so people who have previously downloaded the giant map pack won't have to again.

What I need from you guys is your permission to use the maps! I would Ideally like a working download link provided to me so I can have all the files required to run your map. If your map has custom files (excluding the .bsp) that require the user who is installing the map to manuallly place the relevant files in the correct folders within the mod folder, then I ask that you include a small txt (notepad 'readme') file detailing where the files should be manually placed. It would just make the process alot easier.

I will post a deadline for each map pack, what submissions I recieve before the deadline, I will realease. Don't worry too much if you are either creating a new map or updating fixing an old one. There is always the opportunity to release your map as an individual download or to make the next map pack deadline.

I have compiled a list of maps that I am aware of exsist (thanks to W0rfox and Zteer), I appolagise If I have not listed your map. You are free to bring any maps that are not listed to my attention.

Please look at the list below if you see your map and would like to submit it for inclusion, Please quote what number it is on the list the name of the map and a download link to it. You don't have to post in this thread If you do not wish although It would make it easier, you can also 'PM' me or email: fug4life@btinternet.com.

Some maps I have listed maybe older versions If you have a newer version then by all means let me know. I also have marked some that I have already downloaded and just need permission to include them. And If there are any other maps out there then please point the map maker in this direction.

I've given a month and a half becuase I couldn't decide whether 1 month is not enough to find/sort them all or two months was to long for those who have submitted to wait. Obsidian Conflict has an annerversary around the corner and a new patch Is in development would be nice to have a sizable map pack compiled to give to the community, comon it's a worthy cause.[/url]

Got unmetered bandwidth and HD space so I might as well use it :P (Also I always get under 100kb/s on filefront which annoys me.)

Special Thanks to 1/4 Life for letting me add oc_hydrapit_final to the list.
It took a few 'pm's, the goodnews is he's agreed. (I don't think 1/4 Life is about online much, It normally takes a day or two before I get his replies), but it was worth it.

So we are around the 25 map mark, not doing to bad. BUT I WANT MORE!

Still waiting for a few people to read there 'pm's, the next phase will be to bombard them with emails into submission! j/k :D

OK I've been hunting the Internet for all thing's obsidian like a crazed pokemon collector searching for every last one! I've added more to the list a few again are newer versions or just named diffrently and I haven't sorted them out yet, but theres a few new I thought un-heard of ones ...

I now have a collection of obsidian playable maps to be proud of, I have virtually all of the maps from the above list, bar I think 2. :D
