Methinks the Death one aswell could do with some tweaking.

Though these are sometimes the hardest sounds to get right.

Pain sounds are much better,

I'm still not a fan of your death sounds 2-3, they sound like you Taggart is dieing not a grunt.
Its almost as if there's no voice comm. No-offense it lacking the hoarse voice of all the other lines.
Death 4 is better but. I think the problem is all your deaths are too long and drawn out, I'd say all need to be cut atleast by 50%, they sound like holywood deaths by a poor actor at the moment. consider a death or two where the sounds are a short noise to nothing (for headshot insta kills) Plus imagine in game the lines trying to play length, I'm faily sure the hl2 death sounds are shorter.

Grenade is ok, sounds a bit of a mouthfall, I prefer

"Fire in the hole".

Still your doing pretty good, just think your voice was more consistent last night, sometimes when I play the file I think jeez he's shouting or damn the radio interference is too much but now I've heard sneak tibits of your normal voice i feel the tone of the radio and aggresion in your voice is right, on a whole I think you're on the right track, as all that can be softened and reduced, tweaked.

Right so, regarding the maskless grunt.

I'm going to make the voice alot less rugged and slightly higher pitched, so he almost sounds like one of those "fresh" soldiers in typical warfilms, which I think will benifit the medic especially regarding how he looks.

However, I need to learn an american accent for it.

I've done some checking up and I've selected a few accents based on proximity to the HECU base and Black Mesa:

Black Mesa is in New Mexico, which allows either a New Mexico, Oklahoma or Texan accent. However, the HECU are based in Santego Military Base in Arizona. From that, I have selected a choice of proximity accents: Arizona, South California, Utah, Nevada and possibly Colorado.

What do

Active duty are trained in only a few locations and shipped to where they need to be regardless of where they were from. National guard is another story, but HECU is active duty, so doesn't really matter what region of the US they're from. Most Americans don't even have an accent anyway, esp. those in melting pot suburbs/cities.

I went into the OC game files and listened to some of the original voice work for the hgrunts and compared it to yours. It's really close, yours has maybe a little bit more a British accent but you've mentioned that already. The actual sound of the voice and the little "bizzt" during the clips are almost exactly the same.
