I'm too poor rn to afford a windows server. Is there a way to host a server on linux?

Tough luck. We (the community) do not support Linux servers and possibly never will. If you're desperate, you could use Wine but I highly recommend you DON'T because of unstability.

Personally, having used Wine to run the client version of Obsidian Conflict, the amount of crashes is higher than on a regular Windows operating system. That's why I don't recommend Wine AT ALL.
